Whether you have been married for one year or fifty years. A vow renewal ceremony can be the most romantic and special way to tell the world that you are still utterly committed to one another. It is a great opportunity to refresh your commitments and promises to each other – this time done in a way that is unique and personal to you as a couple.
There are no rules or limitations to what happens on your special day. You may wish to celebrate in a special spot that is significant to you both whether that is your garden, the beach or your favourite manor house/hotel. You can walk down the aisle with your children/grandchildren/pet to your favourite song. You can involve your family and your friends to share stories and memories. You may choose to incorporate a meaningful symbolic ritual such as handfasting or ring warming or I can work with you to creatively design your own personal elements that are bespoke and unique to you. We can make it fun and frivolous or reflective and romantic. The world is your oyster!
A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. Mignon McLaughlin

1. Let’s chat!
Why not book an initial no – obligation call or zoom with me so we can get to know one another and you can decide whether I am the right celebrant for me.
If you decide to book me as your celebrant… -
2. Here is where the fun starts…let us start planning!
Once booked, we can arrange our first planning meeting in person or virtually. We can bounce ideas and discuss any areas you wish to explore. Think of this chat as a creative brainstorm or pinterest board. No idea is off limits!
-
3. Let’s get personal!
A few months before the big day, I will send you over a questionnaire ( it will be fun I promise!) to be completed both separately and together. This allows me to find out more about you as individuals as well as a couple and will inspire the format of both the ceremony and script. I will also be available in the interim via what’s app or zoom should you wish to chat further in regards any specific elements.
-
4. Sit back and relax
Once I have all the information I need, then I will get to work writing your ceremony. This may include the inclusion of symbolic/cultural or personal rituals. I can also support you with your vows and readings providing guidance, support and carefully chosen examples.
With every ceremony I write, my aim is perfection first time however if there are any changes you wish to make, that is fine. We will tweak until you are 100% happy with the final draft.
Every couple is unique, so whether you would feel more comfortable knowing exactly what will be said on the day or whether you would rather an element of surprise along with your guests – it is your special day, so you decide! -
5. The final countdown
A couple of weeks before the big day, we can meet either in person or via zoom to run through the final logistics for the day. My aim is to put your mind completely at rest. I want you to be able to sit back and feel reassured that your ceremony is in safe hands!
We can also discuss holding a rehearsal if this is something you wish to do. -
6. Your big day!
The day has arrived! How exciting. I will arrive early to liaise with the venue, photographer, guests and staff to ensure everything goes smoothly so you can just sit back and relax and enjoy a glass of bubbly or two! I will then be ready to officiate your ceremony confidently with warmth, passion and pride.
-
7. A little keepsake
As a special keepsake, I will send you a printed copy of your bespoke vow renewal script so you can treasure the words and memories forever.
Today will be a magical day. Your ceremony will be something you and your guests will think back on in years to come. A memory that will be etched in your minds and hearts ( and everybody else’s!) for a lifetime !
