Originally from Ireland, I now live in a little village called St Margarets just outside the beautiful and now infamous ( thank you Ted Lasso!) Richmond, London. I am a wife and mother to my two young children William and Lily who certainly keep me on my toes!
When I am not creating or officiating ceremonies, I am busy trying to keep my husband and two poppets safe and happy whilst drinking copious amounts of Monmouth cappuccinos in between! You may also find me on the odd dinner night out with my girlfriends enjoying Tapas and drinking my favourite glass of English Sparkling wine. The key to success is balance after all!
The best ceremonies are the ones which have people belly laughing one minute and reaching for tissues the next… The sky's the limit with a celebrant- led ceremony.
A little more about me…
I grew up pony and dog mad on a farm in Ireland. I am quite the academic and nerd at heart. I love to write and I have even toyed with the idea of writing a children’s book at one stage. I enjoyed a successful career as a chartered accountant specialising in tax (!) which has given me a wealth of experience when it comes to public speaking and organising with confidence and ease. I left my corporate career to spend more quality time with my young children and to explore another passion of mine…yoga. My yoga mat is my haven, my calm and my sanity! Having spent years teaching pregnancy yoga and mum and baby yoga, I have had the privilege, honour and joy of not only supporting women and couples throughout their pregnancy but also forming emotional connections and lasting friendships. My background in yoga ensures that you are met with a calming presence at the end of the aisle.
When I work with couples and families, I love listening and taking the time to really get to know them and understand their personal story. By the time I deliver the ceremony, I would like to think that it feels like a best friend has married them.
Tríona in a nutshell….
-
I am a self-confessed coffee snob and cannot start my day without a takeaway cappuccino ( skinny extra hot!) from my local coffee shop. Life is too short for bad coffee after all!
-
I have always enjoyed expressing my personality through fashion. By day, you may find me in Varley leggings or a Sezane knit. By night, if not in my dressing gown, I may be wearing a silk dress or jumpsuit from a French or British independent brand.
-
I have always been obsessed with France; the culture, the food and the women with their chic, effortless and timeless sense of style. Clemence Poesy and Carine Roitfeld are my fashion icons!
-
I speak fluent Gaeilge (Irish). I also write and speak French (although a bit rusty) having studied Commerce and French in University and having spent my Erasumus year in Grenoble, France.
-
I spend far too much time on vinted and may have to accept that I have a borderline addiction (who does not enjoy a bargain)!
-
I love to dance! My ideal night out would be dinner with my besties ( French cuisine of course) and a late bar with a 90s or 00s playlist. Save the last dance anyone?!
-
Equally, I love to “Netflix and chill” especially after a day with the kids! A glass of white vino in hand, watching Love is Blind or Selling Sunset…bliss!
Why choose me
So, if you would like your ceremony to be written and officiated by an Emily in Paris kind of girl with an Irish sense of humour…you may have found her!
